  1. Nadi is the third largest urban area in Fiji islands, behind Suva city and Lautoka city.
  2. Nadi does not yet have city status.
  3. The International Airport in Fiji is located at the western end of Nadi.
  4. Most visitors to Fiji arrive via the Nadi International Airport.
  5. It takes about 20 minutes by road from airport to Nadi Town, depending on time of day.
  6. The population in Nadi has a high proportion of Indo Fijians.
  7. Denarau Island is connected to Nadi by a short bridge and is a luxury resort destination featuring top International hotel chains, 18-hole championship golf course, luxury residential estates, shopping plaza and Port Denarau Marina.
  8. English is spoken everywhere and is the main commercial language. Fijian dialects and Hindi are also spoken, as well as other languages.
  9. The Nadi landscape comprises Nadi Bay beachfront, sugar cane fields and an arc of impressive highlands to the interior, including the famous Sleeping Giant Mountains.
